Job Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Owasso, OK 74055
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00/hr (DOE + Shift Differential)
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM (Overtime as needed)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Owasso, OK. This position requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, as well as experience in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment repair. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical systems, electrical systems, PLCs, and production processes, ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and equipment performance logs.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in processing equipment.
- Replace defective parts, motors, and control systems as needed.
- Collaborate with production staff to resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Implement equipment upgrades and modifications to improve performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and parts, ordering replacements as needed.
- Conduct inventory audits and maintain accurate records.
- Serve as a backup Refrigeration Technician when required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with PLCs, frequency controls, direct current devices, temperature controls, and transducers.
- Knowledge of high-voltage AC (480V, 220V, 120V), low control voltage AC (24V, 12V, 5V), multi-voltage AC/DC, and multi-amp AC/DC systems.
- Prior experience in a meat processing environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.
- Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is helpful but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in high-noise and industrial environments.
- Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
