Location: Sand Springs, OK 74063
Pay Rate: $24.00–$27.00/hr (Based on Experience)
Shift: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tube Welder to join our team in Sand Springs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding thin-walled metal tubes and pipes in various positions using a range of welding techniques. This role involves producing high-quality welds that meet industry standards while adhering to safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding of metal tubes and pipes, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and other materials, using TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) techniques.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications to determine appropriate welding procedures and materials.

• Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.

• Set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment such as welders, torches, and grinders.

• Follow all safety protocols, including the use of protective gear and maintaining a clean workspace.

• Collaborate with other welders and production staff to ensure project deadlines are met.

• Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections to identify and address any issues.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours, materials, and completed tasks.

• Organize and maintain a hazard-free work area.

• Troubleshoot welding issues and work with supervisors to resolve problems.

• Stay updated on the latest welding techniques and technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tube Welder or in a similar role.

• Welding certification (e.g., AWS, CWB) is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.

• High attention to detail with a focus on producing precise welds.

• Familiarity with welding safety protocols and proper equipment handling.

• Physical stamina and strength for handling heavy materials and working in various positions.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

Test Requirements:

• Stick test / Sub Arc on ¾-inch thick plate, 18 inches long.
