Job Title: Service Technician
Pay: $18/hour
Hours: Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Location: Tulsa, OK
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, and inspections of various rental equipment—including power tools, machinery, and heavy-duty vehicles. This position plays a vital role in ensuring all equipment is in top condition and ready for safe use by customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on rental equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Service equipment such as construction machinery, small engines, and power tools.
• Complete service reports documenting all maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area.
• Communicate repair needs, equipment status, and inventory levels with management.
• Test equipment post-repair to ensure full operational functionality.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist in loading/unloading equipment and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support training of new or less experienced technicians.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or certification in diesel mechanics or small engine repair preferred.
• Previous experience in equipment maintenance or rental industry is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical and hydraulic systems knowledge.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Physically able to lift, bend, and perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible or extended hours as needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with rental equipment brands (e.g., Bobcat, Caterpillar).
• Familiarity with maintenance tracking software.
• Forklift operation certification or experience.
