Job Overview:

The Structural Welder is responsible for fabricating steel structures, operating welding equipment, and handling materials using cranes, forklifts, and other machinery. This role requires a skilled welder who can perform high-quality welds and adhere to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural fabrication and welding using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) methods on steel joints, including fillet, tack, and full penetration welding.
• Set up welding equipment for various positions and ensure materials are properly positioned using cranes, pallet jacks, and dollies.
• Inspect welds for defects, clean and grind materials post-welding, and conduct pre- and post-shift equipment inspections.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and power equipment in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Adhere to safety and quality procedures, immediately reporting any defects or issues to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and resolve any challenges encountered during fabrication.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of welding experience or completion of a welding school program.
• Ability to set up and operate various welding and cutting equipment, including oxygen and fuel gas, plasma cutters, and AC/DC welding tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
