Procurement Leader Wanted Head Purchase Role
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Create and carry out strategic sourcing plans, taking into account supplier capabilities and local market dynamics, for all direct and indirect materials, components, and services needed for our manufacturing activities in Chennai.
Lead and oversee the Chennai buying department team, which includes establishing goals, delegating tasks, offering direction, and cultivating a high-performance culture.
Control and reduce supply chain risks, such as supplier financial stability, geopolitical issues, and possible interruptions to our Chennai operations.
Ensure accuracy and appropriate record-keeping in our Chennai system by supervising the administration of purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement-related paperwork.
Encourage professional development and succession planning by mentoring and enhancing the talents of the Chennai purchase department staff.
Skills:
expertise in encouraging teamwork, supervising a group of purchasing specialists, and accomplishing departmental objectives in Chennai.
ability to use ERP/MRP systems and other procurement software that is frequently employed in Chennai's industrial sector.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess supplier bids, examine market data, and address Chennai-specific procurement issues.
