Job Description

Responsibilities:

Configure and run a variety of lathes (both conventional and CNC) to carry out threading, facing, precision turning, and other machining tasks in accordance with engineering drawings and requirements.

Interpret intricate work orders, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure that you accurately comprehend the machining specifications unique to Chennai's manufacturing standards.

Depending on the type of material and the desired finish, choose and install the proper cutting tools, work holding devices, and fixtures.

Use G-code and other programming languages to program CNC lathes (if applicable), keeping in mind Chennai's local machine capabilities and tooling availability.

Skills:

proficiency with a variety of precise measurement tools, guaranteeing accuracy within the necessary tolerances.

familiarity with local machine controllers and, if relevant, knowledge of G-code programming for CNC lathes.

Strong problem-solving abilities, mechanical acumen, and the capacity to diagnose and resolve typical Chennai machining problems.

adherence to safety laws and preserving a secure workplace in accordance with regional safety standards.
