What’s the Job?

This position is the public “face” of ClassifiedAds.com, one of the largest classified ads websites online. You will help own the relationship with our users, support and engage with our user communities on social media, increase awareness of the website and more. You will focus on making the user experience the best that it can be through feedback and social media. Specific responsibilities include:

• Manage editorial calendar and organize content across all social media marketing channels.
• Create fun and engaging experiences or campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc through compelling content and/or promotions.
• Develop social marketing strategies via blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc to help grow fans and followers across all channels.
• Use social media reporting tools to track growth and engagement each month for management.
• Respond to customer questions/feedback; process user messages; review new listings to ensure they are posted or rejected appropriately.
• Monitor ads on website and social media to ensure proper placement and adherence to guidelines on our website.
• Ongoing identification of user interface enhancements. Suggest site improvements based on user feedback.
• Ongoing identification of improvements to algorithmic protocols for various tools (e.g., auto-approval of new listings).
• Closely manage off-site support personnel; willingness to monitor during non-business hours to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Other project work for digital marketing campaigns.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate for this position is social media savvy, creative, ambitious and task oriented. Prior customer service experience and computer/internet knowledge is a must. Prior management experience is preferred.

Specific required skills include:

• Bachelors degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of social marketing experience.
• Experience managing others a plus.
• Previous startup experience a plus.
• Good judgment and smart, creative problem solver.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong documentation skills.
• Self-motivated, highly detail oriented and demonstrable follow up skills.
• Not afraid to seize opportunities even if outside of day-to-day responsibilities.
• Someone who doesn’t mind being tactical to get the job done.
• Passion for helping people; ability to empathize with users and convey confidence.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Great team player; willing to go above and beyond to get the job done.
